Pharmacyclics, Inc. was founded in the 1990s by Stanford oncologist and biotech entrepreneur Richard A. Miller, M.D. Dr. Miller was the founder and director of IDEC Pharmaceuticals. Pharmacyclics employs approximately 75 people, most of whom are dedicated to research, development, manufacturing, quality assurance and quality control, regulatory affairs, or preclinical and clinical testing. The company is located in Sunnyvale, California, in the heart of Silicon Valley and in close proximity to Stanford University Medical Center.
